Sew Fun Rubber Stamps & Papers!
You guys inspired us to create more sewing themed rubber stamps and papers again this year. We introduced a new size too - we call them TALL statement stamps because they are taller than our regular statement stamps - made sense to us! Anyway the cool thing about the TALLS is they are the perfect size for stamping the large #8 manila tag that everyone (including us) loves to stamp on.
There are 13 new stamps, and a new vintage style paper pack that we call Sewing Circle. The pack includes 10 sheets of manila colored heavyweight paper with tons of vintage sewing illustrations for you to cut, paste, ink, or color in with your Copic Markers - that is what Sheila likes to do best. Chris is all about the subtle shading, I like to just give them a touch of color with the Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Plus there are 4 sheets of Kraft paper, and 2 large sheets of folded kraft tissue that looks and feels like pattern tissue. The tissue is really great to stamp on with black ink - we like Ranger Archival for this type of stamping. When you stamp the tissue with our sewing stamps - especially the Tall Stitched it really does look like an old sewing pattern, crinkle it up and smooth it out for a real old time vintage look, spritz some of this for a true authentic look. I got a little carried away with the walnut ink and sprayed some of the paper pack papers - they looked great - I crinkled them up while they were damp - and ironed them dry. Be sure to cover your ironing board with an old something or other, otherwise you will have a big ugly stain on your ironing cover. Chris is working out all of the details for our Sewing Circle Art Swap that will be announced in our Sat. morning newsletter.
