I don't know about your town but it's hot and steamy here in St. Louis. This morning when I went out to water the tomatos I knew it was going to be one of those muggy days that keeps you indoors or sends you to the pool. Here is one way to cool off and get your dogs good and clean! I filled up the little swimming pool that we have for Ace and Champ, put my shorts and flip flops on, got out the shampoo and gave the dogs a good cooling off with a quick "cat bath". Here is the way I do it - I fill up the pool about 1/2 way, saturate a wash cloth with water and a little shampoo and then I stand in the middle of the pool with a couple of treats in my hand. As soon as the dogs hop in the water I give them the treats and begin to wash them off - works like a charm every time! Then since I feel that I have accomplished a big task I reward myself with an afternoon in the studio while the dogs are snoozing in the living room. That's where the new stencils come into this story. I am working on spritzing and scribbling all of our Sea Stencils with Artisan Inks and white and black gel pens - kind of a work in progress for a display at the store. Nothing better than an afternoon in the studio making art!
