I can't think of a better way to spend a rainy fall day than spending the early morning hours in my studio rearranging, taking pictures, thinking about what's next, and drinking coffee. Forgetting about lunch, glancing at the clock and wondering where the day went. How about you?
This time last year Chris and I got together and made Halloween Chunkies with these. Several of you emailed us that you bought the chunkies last year and are just getting around to making them and asked us to post these for a little Halloween Eye Candy! Here is why we loved creating with the wood chunkies - you can't mess them up! No mattter what you do, you can always sand the paint back and paint again. It's way easy to rubber stamp right on the chunkie with pemanent inks too. Nail on your embellishments or drill holes and glue them in with brads.
Hello Halloween Art Party is today at Red Lead in St. Louis. Grab a girlfriend or 2 and head over the the studio today to make a fun Halloween Tag Necklace. As always - refreshments, music, attendance prizes, art talk and girl talk. A little shopping too! Hope to see you at the store!
My dining room has become an extension of my studio and that is not a good thing. The table is overflowing with old photos, vintage postcards, stacks of notes, recipes, new products, books, and even a ball or 2 of yarn. And did I mention that I have cleared out part of my china cabinet to use as a back drop for picture taking? Which brings me to the clear charms that you are looking at. A few years ago I bought some crystal garland and draped it around my chandelier. Since then I have been looking for some small ornaments to hang during the holidays. Our new wood shapes that you can layer with the clear charms are going to look fab hanging on my chandelier for the holidays! The charms are easy to personalize with your favorite photos and images. Just paint the wood charms with acrylic paint. Uhu glue photos to the back of the clear charms and glue the clear charms to the wood charms. Easy Peasy. The clear charms also come with one hole, 2 holes, and a smaller size that is perfect for jewelry making. There are 2 different collections - check them out on the website. Almost forgot to tell you the Joy to the World little label is one of our new rubber stamps and you can find it here. -be true- Chris & Sharon

And on another note - it's Friday and I got the baking bug this afternoon. I have been wanting to bake these cookies for a few weeks - a new lemon crackle cookie made with a lemon cake mix. They taste very lemony but I think I like the other lemon cookies that I baked from scratch a while back. Now don't get me wrong they are really good, but not totally fabulous!
Wishing all of you a sweet weekend - xo Chris & Sharon
We are getting down to the nitty gritty with our Halloween offerings and on most of the sale items we have less than a dozen of each in stock. You still have plenty of time for Halloween art making with rubber stamps, stencils, tags, and more! I don't know about you but we are really getting into the swing of everything autumn, the leaves are just beginning to show some fall color, and the pumpkins are waiting to be carved. We have been baking pumpkin pies every other day - really! Did you know that 1 serving of pumpkin pie only has about 250 calories? My idea of a low calorie dessert!

p.s. But with whipped cream add 100 calories or so!
