We are still in the Halloween Making Mode! Seems that I can't stop the Scribble Stenciling! For this tag I started with a orange tag. Did you know they are clay coated and can be sanded back to reveal a white core? The first step was to stencil the polka dots with Sunset Artisan Ink with our polka dot stencil. I am really partial to color on color, and the simplicity of using a few colors can be good for a change. For this tag I stuck with the Halloween favorites - black, white, and orange. Everything on the tag is stenciled or stamped. One of my favorite techniques is to scribble with a black fine line permanent marker, I used a sharpie, but a black glaze works great too. Let the black ink dry for a minute or two, then go back over the black stenciling with the white Signo gel pen. Not too heavy though. Leave a a little bit of the black showing through.
This is a great technique if you are into art journaling - this stencil would work really great for your journals.
Back to the tag at hand - for the bats at the top left scribble with the signo white gel pen, and outline with the black pen. Of course I had to to sprinkle on a little silver glitter to highlight the Moonlight stamped images.
If you are in a Halloween Making Mood, everything you need is at our store in St. Louis, or on our website. Have fun and make some Halloween Art!
