Wood-Bits Wood Charms

You inspired us to create  more Red Lead products, so here are the new Wood-Bits wood charms. We love these as much as our clear-bits and hope you do too!  Let me tell you about these new Wood-Bits.  Firstly ( is that a word?)  this is just the tip of the iceberg for clear-bit and wood-bit designs.  Our heads have been spinning -really- with ideas for more and more of these charms.  Are there any special shapes that you would like to see?  We want to hear from you, so let us know your thoughts.  We can't decide what are our favorites, the Word Charmettes, the Framettes, or the Shapettes.  Chris and I have a bet on about which wood-bit will be the most popular.  What is your fave? Here are a few things we love about these wood charms - you can paint them, ink them, stain them, stamp them, and any other thing you can think of.  Each set comes packaged with a double sided mini collage sheet with vintage kids on one side and script on the other, plus jump rings. Another cool thing - you can punch out the images with a one inch circle punch and collage them on the back of the Charmette, or if you have any of our word stamps you can stamp directly on the wood. They are chunky too - 1/8" thick.  They are at the store and on the website so take a look right here.

And oh, they are made right here in the USA.

Tell Your Story

Tell Your Story Patina Workshop for this Sat. is full, but we have added this workshop to our May 2012 workshop schedule.  Chris is working away at new Make & Takes, more vintage style jewelry, and a mixed media beeswax workshop.  I am baking tomorrow and we will be serving one of my favorites, Carrot Cake Cookies, not too sweet, and loaded with pecans, rasins, and coconut - they are really good!

Plus new papers, charms, ribbons and such flew in and is waiting for us to unpack today at the store.  See you Sat!

Many of you have asked if I am still baking  -  yes!  I bought a new book that I love - Back in the Day Bakery.  I plan on baking this coming Friday, and serving the cookies at our Tell Your Story in Words workshop.

Something for You to Make - Easter Fun!

Even your kids can make these. Remember when there was always the childrens table for holiday dinners?  The kids would all sit together, tell jokes, have a fight or 2, get in trouble, then behave for a while, color in a new book, pick at their food, and wait for dessert. Anyway I think these would be really cute on your Easter Table, but if you are into rubber stamping our Hello Friend rubber stamp could work the same way.  Hello Friend is one of my favorite cute-cool stamps and I will be  making a few Easter Place Cards in the next day or 2 to share with you.

Top Hat Bunny Spring Tag

Spring Time is just around the corner, and we can't wait.  You know we love to garden, so when we got our new rubber stamps in I gathered up everything to make this cute Top Hat Bunny Tag. Doesn't this tag remind you of a sweet little cottage garden? I am so in love with our new Spring Greetings Word Play stamp.  So fun to stamp and punch out the words and images with a 1" circle punch.  I stamped with one of my favorite inks, Archival Coffee by Ranger. The bright Sunshine Yellow Tag, Vintage Posies, Charms, and Ribbon are on the website and at the store.
