Yesterday was spent making the store our home away from home. We planted a tree, tucked in a few sugar snap peas among the red impatiens, stocked all of the new that came in, scrubbed the bathroom, swept the floors, just like home! Can't wait for all of you to visit...hope to see you at the store...xo...Chris and Sharon

Hello bright sunny Monday! We had the most beautiful day yesterday. Started off with a short trip to pick up some lighting fixtures for our new home, couldn't resist a quick stop at the garden shop for some white impatients, took Jewel with us to the new store for her approval-she pranced around, sniffed, barked, rolled over and shook her head yes! Made about a gazillion trips back and forth with boxes and boxes of everything Red Lead. The new sign is supposed to be installed tomorrow, the door gets painted Wednesday, the awning gets updated Thursday. So much to do, but we are so inspired by our new neighborhood. We took a stroll around a few blocks enjoying the sights. Another reason to love it all { as if we needed one} the church right up the street was preparing lunch outdoors, feels wonderful to be part of a community! Almost forgot...we had the last workshop at the old store Sat. Amid all of the boxes, picking up of furniture, digging through the bargain boxes, it was a little hectic at times, but so much fun...Thanks for coming..we couldn't do it without you! xo Chris and Sharon

Moving Sale Day 8
"So how long have you been here?" Oh, about 9 years. " How long have you been in business?" Oh, about 25 years. "How long have you been making things?" Oh, about forever. "Is that your sister?" Yep, best ever friend too. "Did you own the building in Maplewood? Yep. "How long were you in the downtown loft district?" Oh, about 10 years. "Did you and your sister make all of the art here?" Yep. "Do either of you have a degree in art?" No. Now to the fun part. We are always amazed that anyone has any interest in what we do. We love going to "work" everyday, taking care of the store, ordering new stuff, designing rubber stamps, drinking coffee, eating cookies, talking to you, taking road trips. "So how far away is your new store?" About 2 miles from here. "So how do I get there?" 2 rights and a left. More details soon! Have a great week and don't forget we have one heck of a moving sale going on this week at the store...plain and simple...12 x 12 papers are 8 for a buck..gently used rubber stamps are 4.00 each {fresh from our studio and collected over the past 15 years} 75% off all kinds of good art and crafting stuff!
